Soup Collective works 2004 - 2017. Soup Collective’s work spans music video, documentary and AV installation and it is perhaps at the points where these formats intersect that the most playful work has emerged: 3D print with projections (Personal Museums, National Football Museum), documentary as music video (The Take Off and Landing of Everything, Elbow) and video synthesis into narrative (Jodrell Bank Calling, BFI/Abandon Normal Devices). Experimentation with technology – both old and new – plays a key part in the output, though it’s a love of film that drives this work, and what can be created with this through collaboration across a role call of 25 plus filmmakers, coders, animators and artists all contributing over the years.
